There’s nothing like munching on savory, oven-baked snack mix whether you’re watching the big game or need a quick bite in between meals. It’s a snack that you don’t see people make too often anymore, as you can buy it at the store, but tastes so much better when it’s homemade. And believe me when I tell you that’s it’s so incredibly simple to make that you’ll wonder why you haven’t done it sooner.
This treat uses only a few ingredients and you probably already have some of them in your pantry right now — cereal, crackers, pretzels and nuts, or a mix of whatever you please. Simply toss it all together in a large bowl, season it up, then bake it off. Better yet, this recipe is quick to prepare and takes around only 30 minutes to bake in the oven.
To give this classic snack a tasty and slightly spicy reboot, I used Stubb’s Sriracha Anytime Sauce. While this sauce makes a great baste, marinade or dipping sauce, it’s also amazing when tossed with this snack mix and baked to crispy perfection. The Sriracha chilies, garlic, and spices add a flavorful kick to the mix, but it’s not overly spicy, so even the mildest palate can enjoy it. If you do want to amp up the heat a little, simply add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper.
Great for last minute guests or need a quick munchie fix, this Sriracha snack mix is just the ticket to snacking success!
