Recently, I decided to play around with Stubb’s new Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce to create some delectable new recipes. Seeing as it can be used as a marinade, baste, or as a dipping sauce, the culinary possibilities are endless. The Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce is a mix of flavors that blend together very well: black pepper, lightly sweet brown sugar, and umami tamari soy sauce. Being that these three main flavors are also hallmarks of some Asian dishes, I decided to use that global inspiration for my next creation: Korean bulgogi-style grilled beef skewers.
For this dish, I used the Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce as marinade, along with the traditional ingredients for this dish, like onion, sweet pear, and sesame oil. To give the skewers an added boost of flavor, I also used this Anytime Sauce to baste the skewers while they were on the grill.
This recipe is incredibly easy — marinate for a few hours to overnight, skewer the meat, then throw it on a grill or a grill pan and cook for a few minutes per side. This Korean bulgogi marinade would also be excellent used on grilled or roasted chicken legs or thighs, or even on a roasted pork tenderloin.
Grab some this tasty new Anytime Sauce and get your grill on ASAP!
