Green Chile Turkey Burger

3
INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

  • 2 pound ground turkey
  • 2/3 cup Stubb’s Green Chile Marinade
  • Toasted buns, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, mayonnaise and guacamole (store bought or homemade) for serving

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Prepare grill for direct cooking. For a charcoal grill, when the coals are ashed over, rake or spread them out in the bottom of the grill so the food can cook directly over the coals. (For a gas grill, fire up the burners to the food can cook directly over the heat).
  • 2 In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey and Stubb’s Green Chile Marinade. Create 4 turkey burger patties and place on a piece of foil.
  • 3 To keep patties from falling apart on the grill, place foil with patties on it directly on the grill, over direct medium-high heat, cover the grill and cook for 5 minutes. Using a spatula, remove the patties from the foil and place directly onto the grill (same side down as when on the foil). Cook for an additional 3 minutes on that side, then flip burgers and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes. (Medium burgers register an internal temperature of 160°F.)
  • 4 Serve with lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, guacamole, mayonnaise on toasted buns.
