Stubb’s new Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce is not only great as-is, it’s also very well suited for use in Asian-style cuisines, from Chinese and Korean, to Thai and Vietnamese. This sauce (which also serves as a baste and marinade) has slightly spicy black pepper, umami soy sauce, and a hint of sweetness from the addition of brown sugar.
For a recipe makeover, I used the Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce to give a Stubb’s twist to a classic and favorited Chinese takeout dish: Kung Pao Chicken. I used this Anytime Sauce as a marinade for the chicken, then as part of the stir fry sauce. The result: a dish to rival the original. (It’s even better than the original, in my humble opinion.)
This stir fry meal is quick, easy to prepare, and much healthier than ordering Chinese takeout. Plus, you might just have all the ingredients needed in your fridge and pantry right now. Of course, you’ll need to get your hands on a bottle (or several) of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sweet Black Pepper Anytime Sauce.
Try this recipe out tonight — I guarantee that it won’t be the last time you make it!
