Charlie from Haddingtons shakes up cocktails.

Usually our recipes involve a big serving of protein, a heap of barbecue sauce and the need for a napkin, but during the holiday season, we like to shake things up—literally.  This week we’re sharing some fun drink recipes created by “Charlie” Shusaku Shiroyama, head barkeep at one of our favorite local Austin hangouts, Haddingtons.  You can also find Charlie tending the bar at Haddingtons’ new lounge, The Fox Tavern. We think these mixed drinks will spice up any holiday cocktail party. When we approached Haddingtons with this creative project, we had only a few requests: the drinks had to incorporate some Stubb’s products, they had to be delicious, and we had to all get together to do some sampling of the new beverages.

Charlie used Sweet Heat to make a Stubb & Stormy cocktail. The bit of heat added a nice flavor to the ginger beer and rum.

The thyme and honey in Stubb’s Chicken Rub made for a tasty Bloody Maria.

Honey Bee is sweet and citrusy.  Perfect as a dessert cocktail!
